Damn! Bagrad is a man after my own heart. He explores with wild abandon and defines what it is to have mastery over your craft. The breadth of his work is a little astonishing. I really enjoy the contrast between his movement work in “Abracadabra” and the frozen time of “Motionless” (see below).
There are several galleries to view, all with a distinctly human theme but with varying degrees of abstraction.
Beautiful abstraction using motion blur to create strings of lights in figural work.
As the name suggests, these are exactly the opposite of “Abracadabra”, featuring hard light and high contrast on bodies frozen in time.
You thought you were tired of powder flung at models. This is why it’s important to keep pushing techniques.
Take some time to look at Bagrad’s folio in context. The larger images are really worth checking out. “Blasphemous Prayers” and “Visual Experiments” can be quite challenging to look at, featuring heavy post work, but “Singles” really shows off just how diverse he can be.
