Now with 5% more things! Ok, don’t hold me to that; I just needed a number. What I really want to share is that I will be taking time to revamp this blog over the next few weeks. The first phase will be to add new features and resources – something I’ve always appreciated in other blogs and websites. In addition to building up the sample files from my books and DVD, I’ll throw some other Photoshop and photography goodness at you. Demo files, scripts, brushes, and so on – little bits here and there that I’d like to share.
For the moment, I’ve added a Pinterest widget page. The main reason for this is to start consolidating all my online spaces, and I thought the widget was pretty darned cool. A lesser reason is that I want to start picking out pieces from those boards to share and talk about on my blog. While this may not be of major interest to a lot of people, I find it helps me focus a bit more on my own work when I take time to think about what I like or don’t like in other people’s work.
In the near future, I’ll add a centralized resources page that will be a jump point for other content I’ve shared online in various places. Behance, my Zenfolio gallery, flickr (when I remember to use it), Facebook, Ello (really??), Twitter, and whatever else comes along. As more and more opportunities to share come along, I find it difficult to organize and even find things I’ve posted. So this is kinda all about me. In case you ever had any doubts 🙂
Once I make a decent amount of actual content available, I’m planning to refresh the site design. That probably won’t happen for a few months, but I am finding the current format may be somewhat limiting. My goal is to make content easier to discover without crowding the front with links to everything on offer.
Oh! Speaking of offers, that’s another thing I am working on. As I review products, the ones that I find useful, unique, or otherwise spifferific may be offered by the vendor with some discounts or additional benefits. This isn’t guaranteed, of course, but I will do my best to make it easier for you to pick up or try out some of the things I review.
That’s it in a nutshell!
If you think of something you’d like to see here, drop me a line!
