It appears the term ‘composite’ has been utterly usurped by ‘photomanips’. I suppose I should start adding that term to all my posts and work. <sigh>
Anyway, here’s a collection of some really cool composite work (e.g., photomanips) that show off a lot of creativity and technique. Notice the surreal nature lends itself to leading the eye away from details like highlight, shadow/light fall, color variations, and noise. Not only are these very creative, they demonstrate how the subject matter can hide or make irrelevant flaws in execution. To be clear, I’m not commenting on any flaws, just that this approach makes them negligible in general.
Good stuff!
