It’s been some time since the blog was updated, so I figured I’d post a brief explanation.
First, I switched to using a Mac at home, so using LiveWriter there meant I had to launch Parallels in order to blog effectively (haven’t gone hunting for a Mac equivalent, yet), or go through the Blogger interface directly. I had jotted a number of ideas down in LiveWriter, so wanted to stick with that, so I thought maybe I’d blog during lunctime at work.
Except I started working through lunch pretty consistently.
Then I found ScribeFire. It looked great, had lots of features, and was very portable. It didn’t work. I wrote a half-dozen articles, but though the UI said they’d been published, clearly they have not.
So, I’m now on a mission to find a Mac-friendly LiveWriter replacement.
In the mean time, the jack-offs at DomainPeople, who now own Hostway, managed to forget to send me a notice that my domain was expiring. I have a LOT of heartache with DomainPeople, as I find their business practices to be shady and unscrupulous at best. Let me say once more the name DomainPeople in connection with poor reviews, unethical advertising practices and just plain greedy mofos.
But, now, it’s straight. And I didn’t lose anything from the interruption.
My request to the few folks who actually read this thing is this; please help me find a Mac-friendly replacement to LiveWriter. If you know of something written on the AIR platform, bonus points – I can use it from both Leopard and Vista.
